DNS Hosting Charges

Summary: N2Net has completed an audit of our DNS Hosting Services and has discovered several customers receiving Domain Name Hosting Service who are not being billed for the service. N2Net will be assessing a $25 yearly charge to customers who are receiving DNS Hosting Services, but have not been charged for the service. Residential Dial Up, ISDN and ADSL customers can ignore this notification as they are unaffected by the assessment.

     On November 1st, 2001 New Age Consulting Service, Inc. took over the operations of N2Net, Inc. and began a process of auditing all billing records and hosting information for existing customers. Recognizing the importance of these services to your business, we have worked hard to keep monthly rates as low as possible, and in most cases have kept our rates below our competitor's rates while dramatically improving service quality. We continue to perform complete system audits to ensure network efficiency and stability.
     We are sending this letter because we have discovered several N2Net customers that are receiving Domain Name Hosting Service (DNS) without charge. N2Net's policy is to charge $25.00 per year for each Domain Name that we maintain on our servers. This fee covers the costs of providing a 24x7, high availability server cluster that ensures customers will reach your Website or E-mail every single time.
     DNS hosting service is necessary to assign a permanent IP address to your Web, Email or File Transfer services. It provides your customers with the ability to connect with your Website by mapping IP Addresses such as 207.166.192.85 to names like www.nacs.net. Instead of your customers sending Email to user@207.166.192.30, they can send mail to user@yourcompany.com. It is one of the most basic, but critical services that your hosting services rely on.
     If you are currently not being billed an annual DNS Hosting fee and N2Net is hosting your Domain Name records your account will be assessed an annual fee of $25 per Domain Name for DNS Hosting Service. This fee will auto-renew annually as long as your domain name is hosted on N2Net's DNS servers. Modifications to your DNS Records are assessed a $15 fee per request and can be handled by E-mailing a support request to support@n2net.net.
